As Union Street Media, we talk a lot about our creed. 

Believing in independence is our company’s core and how we view the world. Unlike many software companies with outside investors that make all the important decisions, at Union Street Media, the decisions are made by the people who work here.

One of the ways that our belief in independence manifests itself is that our software should revolve around your business needs, as opposed to your business needs revolving around our software. One of the most common places that this comes up with is the debate over an “all-in-one solution” versus the best-in-class approach.

An all-in-one solution in “proptech-speak” is a company whose solution is that they can pretty much do everything you might need from your tech stack. This would include: everything about your website, digital marketing, CRM, listing presentation tool, CMA, back office commission payment system, accounting platform, and everything else in between. As you can imagine, that’s a lot of things! The idea that one company could do all of those better than any other company is a very ambitious, and candidly, highly unlikely, solution. 

The “best-in-class” approach is when a brokerage creates a tech stack – combining companies that do specific tasks very well –  and that integrate with each other so that the data flows as smoothly as possible between each of the various systems. Union Street Media is decidedly in the best-in-class approach.

Union Street Media has developed more award-winning websites than any other company. Our digital marketing solutions – which drive leads to these websites – are as sophisticated and brokerage-specific as they get.

That is where we draw the line. 

When it comes to things like a CRM, many other companies are out there that do that work very well. Our approach is to integrate with as many of them as possible to enable you to choose the CRM of your choice instead of having us dictate that solution.

We have “super integration” status with several CRMs, all of which serve as best-in-class solutions for the type of brokers that they serve. Our integrations are often “two-way” meaning that if information changes within Accelerator+, Union Street Media’s website platform, or the CRM itself, the information flows from one to the other.
