Website Production Manager

Union Street Media is seeking a strategic, operational, and technically focused Website Production Manager to join our team. Union Street Media is the most trusted real estate digital marketing company, providing custom digital marketing solutions and award-winning websites for real estate professionals. 

As an integral part of Union Street Media’s team, the Website Production Manager is responsible for ensuring Union Street Media provides high-quality website designs and website builds on time and on budget. The Website Production Manager is constantly looking for and working on ways to improve how we design and build websites, with a focus on tooling, automation, and process improvement. 

The Website Production Manager is a natural leader who works well cross-functionally and has experience managing direct reports. To succeed in this role, fostering a proactive, innovative, and communicative team environment that supports our big-picture business objectives while also being detail-oriented and technical enough to get in the weeds to accomplish them is essential. Most importantly, the Website Production Manager ensures strategic growth through process implementation and improvement, with an emphasis on automation, and strong communication of client, internal, and end-user feedback to guide system development. 

Specific Responsibilities Include: 

  • Supervise the design, development, testing, documentation, and improvement of websites and website capabilities; assign projects and responsibilities to ensure we meet our production goals.
  • Find and develop talent; responsible for hiring, training, and managing the Design and Development teams and potentially other direct reports in the future. 
  • Continually review Union Street Media’s production processes to identify new efficiencies and implement changes that make it easier to design and build quality websites; enable employees to focus on high-value tasks, increase profitability, and improve the customer experience. 
  • Set, communicate, and monitor key performance indicators to ensure the team is meeting client and internal expectations on areas including, but not limited to quality, timeliness, and profitability of projects. 
  • Manage project data and workflows. Monitor and audit internal systems like Taskray and Salesforce to ensure expected activity such as responsiveness to Project Managers and clients, as well as resolution of internal cases; ensure the quality and thoroughness of data such as Salesforce Case comments, Taskray project statuses, time tracked, and more. 
  • Work with the Design and Development teams, and at times, directly with clients, to resolve issues.
  • Build strong rapport with USMers and act as a production champion, maintaining a continuous focus on how we can work smarter to deliver quality websites at scale. 
  • Collaborate with, and provide quick, reliable support to other teams at Union Street Media.
  • Select, implement, and manage design and development tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to enable a feedback loop that will make the production process better, faster and more reliable. 
  • Help Union Street Media employees learn our website products, processes, and design and development systems as quickly and thoroughly as possible. 
  • Create product and process documentation, such as workflow and user guidelines, design libraries, widget descriptions and what’s included in each website, technical documentation and application specs, systems training, and more. 
  • Reduce cost and complexity across Union Street Media’s operations. 
  • Develop and contribute to a positive organizational culture. 


  • 5+ years in website development, QA, technical support, or similar functions
  • 2+ years of management experience 
  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for technology and for providing awesome customer experiences. 
  • Thorough understanding of HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript, and Photoshop 
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and digital marketing tactics like search engine optimization and online advertising a plus 
  • Customer service experience and understanding, including managing difficult situations and people.
  • Experience leading and growing teams 
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, and measure operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity 
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands; demonstrated change management capabilities, including tolerance of ambiguity and ability to chart a path forward in a changing environment 
  • Problem-solving, business analysis, and quantitative skills; capable of implementing proactive measures in seeking solutions to business problems and to move between strategy development and tactical execution 
  • Teaming ability

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
