at usm:
My primary role is to help the client through the web development process from project initiation to launch. As the direct client contact, I am responsible for guiding the client through the process, listening to their ongoing needs and feedback, and speaking for the client to the USM team. I am lucky to have a role that puts me in the unique position to work with every department at Union Street Media, from sales to design to production to support to Internet marketing.
favorite part of your job:
Coming from a background in real estate and advertising, my role at USM allows me to combine my experiences to assist and inform the client. Similar to my experience in the real estate industry, I deal with all kinds of people on a daily basis. This is part of the job I truly enjoy; it keeps the day to day interesting and full of variety.
best 24 hours:
I have been fortunate to have many good days in my life. However, there is something to be said about skiing a blue bird powder day with 4 feet of fresh snow and in the same 24 hours landing on a beach in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. The day started with first tracks down the Headwall Face at Squaw Valley, CA. It was the first big storm of the 2006 season; it snowed 4 feet the night before and cleared that morning to clear blue skies. The snow was perfect, light and carved like butter. The best run of my life.
About 20 hours later my brother and I deplaned at the Puerto Escondido airport; greeted by my mother and step-father. It was off to the beach, sand between my toes, corona in one hand, quesadilla in the other. No, it doesn’t get much better than that.
